Founders Story & Mission

From a very young age I found jewelry interesting. It wasn't till my late 20's that I feel I found my niche in jewelry. Before I found my niche I bought pieces online that I just never saw people wear, that changed really quickly as online retail exploded and everything became accessible and mass produced.

My interests in jewelry evolved with this, and I began looking at second hand jewelry, and I felt better about it... there was something about this piece I was wearing, knowing it had a unknown life before coming to me. Maybe it sat in a closet or drawer, maybe someone wore it their whole life, long before I was born, or existed. The idea fascinated me and conflicted me. I wasn't sure if I wanted to know the story of this piece or if the fact that I could never know intrigued me more.

This very feeling, idea and thought has birthed the 696 Trading Post brand. Lets give new life to jewelry! But why stop there?

This brand will push to create Sustainable, Recycled and Repurposed everyday items from jewelry to household items all sustainable and eco friendly promoting the idea of continuing to preserve our planet.
